Yesterday the Graduate Student Instructors (GSIs) went on strike because the University was paying them less than the estimated annual cost of living (or something along that order). I’m told that the same thing happened three years ago, the last time their contracts expired. Either way, some GSIs and students formed picket lines outside school buildings and chanted whenever someone walked in.
Yes, spring is here, and it’s beautiful! This is the first time I’ve experienced spring (grew up in a tropical country) and it really is quite a wonderful feeling. It’s not ridiculously cold anymore, you can actually see grass again, and if you look carefully, you can find little buds on the trees! So, in the spirit of the season, here are a couple of beautiful Spring sunset photos from Ann Arbor.
