Lisa+Blaine!

Finally, the long-awaited photos from Lisa and Blaine’s wedding! As you may know, Blaine Siesser is my mentor and a great friend, so when he asked me to photograph his wedding at the Cranbrook Art Museum in June I nearly jumped through the roof. This is going to be a long post, because there are some great pictures!

Ceremony: Cranbrook Art Museum, Detroit

Reception: S3 Studios

Special thanks to Adam Czap, who Blaine also asked to shoot the wedding. It was great fun!

The day started with me stopping by Blaine’s house, to find him sleeping in the basement and a groomsman sleeping in the garage…

Lisa is an artist, and she made a little present for Blaine with scripture written all over it.

This picture never fails to make me happy…

Blaine got really emotional during the ceremony.

Fun with Flash!

Greetings, friends!

It has been a while since I last posted, because I’ve been working at Sandy Creek Bible Camp out in the country in Texas. This week, we took some fun pictures with the core staffers at night on the soccer field, and I was fortunate enough to have some video lights and a Nikon SB-600 on hand in addition to my SB-800.

For these pictures, I had my flashes set up to be wirelessly controlled by my camera, and given the completely spontaneous nature of the shoot, I had two of my friends hold them up – one as a backlight, one to the side, with the video lights behind me.

The girls all look like supermodels:

Ben Howard, high school staffer – he always wears these clothes.

Finally, a picture of my brother and I the day before my birthday.
